The Birchwood Racing Team is a Twin Cities-area racing team and cycling club dedicated to the positive experiences of cycling. Our goal is to promote cycling as a healthy way to be active and involved with our community. Birchwood is a committed group of cyclists brought together by our shared love of good food and good bikes. We are racers working for our teammates in a local crit. We are riders gathering for a casual spin and coffee on a Sunday morning. We are Nordic skiers gliding along the trail.

Saturday, November 16, 2013. On Monday, November 4, my due date, I started having some regular contractions. I timed them for an hour- 8 minutes apart exactly. I called the midwife on call just to let them know I was having regular contractions. Then I text my mom and Julie to warn them they might be on call. And then, the contractions stopped. I pushed for an hour before she was born.
